Jaykays provides curriculum and after-school activities for local schools
With dance becomming increasingly popular with both girls and boys, many local schools are keen to offer it as an alternative physical activity to mainstream sport, as well as an artistic activity in its own right.
Jaykays currently works with both the Eastern Warwickshire and Central Warwickshire School Sports Partnerships to provide opportunities for students, in line with the national PE and Sport Strategy for Young People. Work with schools can be delivered over a set period of time (e.g. a term), or for an ongoing, indefinite period.
Jaykays partner schools include;
-
St Patricks Primary School
-
Bilton High School (Rugby)
-
Shrubland Street Primary School
-
Ridgeway School (Special Needs)
-
Round Oak School, Support Service and Sports College.
In the coming months, Jaykays will also be able to offer a fully accredited and nationally recognised Dance Leaders Award for young people aged 14+ which can be delivered to a specific group of pupils over a 30-hour period. For more information on the Dance Leaders Award, please visit the Sports Leaders UK website.
For younger dancers, Jaykays also delivers Little Rascals classes to toddlers at Oakdene Nursery in Cubbington.
